PROJECTS

ELM STREET

Having a blank canvas allows for endless options. With a concept drawn on a napkin, we were able to bring this design to life. Realizing this project would be the face of our company, we sourced reclaimed natural stone locally to maintain an authentic old New England 1890’s feel. Landscape lighting, brick drip edge, plantings and sod gave this large-scale project the final touches. Our business welcomed a refreshed look, which everyone in town noticed and still comments on. Granite State Stonescapes continues to create outdoor living spaces that will last a lifetime.

HUNTING ROAD

Tear down and rebuild a failing fieldstone retaining wall, simple right? Occasionally there are underlying issues you cannot forecast and this project demonstrated just that! We hit an unknown failing perimeter drain the previous homeowner installed. In our 25+ years of experience, we have never observed this degree of groundwater. We effectively mitigated the water concern by installing 2 dry wells and hauling out 100+ yards of material. After an additional week’s worth of work under our belt, we were able to do what we love, erect New England Fieldstone walls! Upon completion of the project the customer stated “it came out better than we dreamt about”. The before and after image is one for the record books!

Joe and his team were exceptionally professional and their work is stunning! When our project had some unexpected surprises, they jumped right into problem solving mode and figured out a solution that not only solved the issue, but created a much more stable situation. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, I’d highly recommend these guys for any hardscaping project!

VISTA LANE

Our client, natives of Goffstown, contracted us for their second home in Easton, NH. With a concept image in hand for our initial consultation, we were granted creative liberty to bring the project to life. This is how we thrive and cultivate our portfolio, and we were eager to break ground. During the initial excavation, we discovered a log burial ground. Thankfully, the homeowner had adequate land to dispose of the logs. Once we conquered this hurdle, we were able to let our creative minds flow with the construction of the outdoor fireplace. Integrating the sunburst above the mantle on the fireplace was a component we surprised our clients with. Incorporating directional landscape lighting to the Goshen stone patio and stairs delivers a pleasant completed look. During this six week project, we encountered weather from all four seasons with the property abutting The Notch. We succumbed to the change in seasons and were unable to put the finishing touches on one of our favorite projects this season. Final completion will commence once spring has sprung in the North Country. Stay tuned for more finished product pictures.

2 Projects – #1) Joe & his team tore down/rebuilt a retaining wall adding some granite posts. Very impressed with his professionalism, attention for detail & how clean they kept the work site. Our wall is beautiful and now safe/secure for the grands.

#2) Joe designed a gorgeous outdoor fireplace, beautiful goshen stone patio with lighting, granite steps, goshen stone walkway, granite light post and deck stair lighting. We are more than thrilled how this came out. They worked hard in the crazy weather in the White Mountains. Kept us constantly up to speed with all the work and did a phenomenal job.

Wolcott Before & After

Exceeded our expectations! Cannot emphasize enough how happy we are with not only the beautiful space Joe and his crew created for us but the entire process from the first consult to the last day of the project. We have a small, challenging backyard with grading and elevation changes and Joe provided brilliant solutions while working with us to design a space that addressed all our needs and then he executed at the highest level of craftsmanship. You’ll make what seems like 1000 decisions on a backyard renovation project. Don’t just settle for a competent builder, we raised our expectations and Joe and his crew exceeded them again and again. Calling Joe was the best decision we made.
